I swear that if I see one more anti-American message or ignorant and hostile question towards Americans, I am going to lose it. Anyone else share my feelings?!?

I share your feelings. It is out of control. The ignorance displayed is amazing.

Just look at some of the answers to your questions. Wake up people. Take a hard look at the world you live in. At present you have no idea what is going on in the world. Read about the Middle East, China, North Korea. Read about where Western Europe was before the "Iron Curtain" fell.

Don't you ever wonder why ZERO refineries have been built in this country in the last 25+ years?

Try to educate yourself before opening your mouth and allowing so much garbage to spill out.

I was in the military for seven years, and I have been many places in the world. I could go on and on about what I learned, but let me tell you this: No, I am not tired of people putting down America. Amid the ignorant, visceral, America bashing, there are some legitimate complaints that we are not addressing in no small part because too many Americans like to write them off as more of the same.

Hitler, Stalin, and Mao didn't tolerate any criticism. Love it or leave it? If we were as doting to our children as many would have us be towards our own country, our children would end up spoiled, and our country would be too. I question the ethics of anyone who does the "right thing" for the sake of praise and adulation. So, if you still want to believe that the United States is the good guy, get used to the hostility, and more importantly, listen carefully. Democracies tolerate criticism, or they aren't democracies. Plain and simple.

Apparently if your sick of this, then their must be some truth to the issue or your ego wouldn't be offended. I served in the military for 30+ years, and in all that time, I continued to watch civilians destroy the principles that founded this nation, rape the land and poison the environment, and in general, completely ignore the concepts of stewardship. I put the American civilians down, not America itself. Civilians will destroy all that is good, without a second thought to the consequences. The world could fall apart around them, and as long as their is a party to go to, nothing else matters! "Piss on American civilians!"

I don't hate America the idea, I hate what W & Co. have done to the America I want to be a part of. Now, if putting down the president and his actions is putting down America, then America is in a sad state of affairs.

One of the primary beliefs America is founded on is the idea that a citizen has the right to speak his/her mind, without fear that some ruler will take action against them.

Bush is not America. True freedom to live your life in peace is America.

I agree with what you are saying and I feel the same way. We all need to realize that President Bush was reelected to another term (personally I like it but some don't). We are not going to get anywhere in this Country, World or Life if we continue to act the way that we do.

Yes, this is America and we are free to say pretty much whatever we want but that doesn't make it right. All of these other Countries see the way that we treat each other and then think it's OK to treat us that way too. It isn't OK. We need to stand up for our Country but do it constructively. Enough with all of the hate because if we like it or not we are in this together and we need to start acting like it. Terrorist don't care if you are a Republican or a Democrat. They don't care if you agree with the war or not. They only care that you live in America and for that they hate you. We only have each other at times like this and to divide ourselves only makes us weak.

Poor poor America..go cry (whoever wrote the post)...ummm....I think if you cannot respect other people's opinions maybe you should stop reading those posts!!! There are more questions coming from Americans on this board, hating/disliking immigrants than probably anti-america posts-if there are any. I have not seen a particular post 'against' America anyways. And when you get the statement " we are the greatest country in this world"...the rest of us laugh about the stupidity and arrogance of such statement!...it's just sooo..ummm...redneck!

*rolls eyes*

Just because someone disagrees with you, that doesn't mean they are putting down America. Most of the dissenting messages are from the loyal opposition. These are people who love America. They are patriotic Americans trying to protect our constitutional way of life.

Most questions are not hostile and it is not that people are putting down America, but tell me... why do we have to take America seriuous when you convict others and still have the death penalty active is several states, people are not equal.
The tougher the words of GW the more people are trying to put America down.

No I am not sick of people voicing their opinions.Freedom of expression was publicized and upheld by Americans.Democracy where people have a right to voice was also the slogan much praised dd by the Americans. What happened the medicine for others cannot be accepted by yourself.

Some people experience a lot of guilt for being a citizen of the greatest country on earth. Maybe some sacrifice would help them. When you get something for nothing you don't appreciate it. Millions have fought and died to ensure their right to be whiny America bashers.

NO keep it up.
but its your goverments fault i have been to usa
and loved it.
the people were great, funny, hospitable,
and would love to go back.
its just a shame you have become world police.

oh and stop going on about being the greatest country on the planet cause it aint.
travel outside your country a bit and you will find many great countries all with different things to offer.
its that narrow minded approach of being the biggest and the best that gets you in trouble.
