I don't know if you're trying to be funny, but it's Golden Ball, just one, no plural, and he won because the judging was done by 700 journalists voting throughout the entire world cup and ending at midnight the day of the final. Therefore most of the voting could have been done before the red card incident, but now Blatter of FIFA might consider revoking the judgment as FIFA has a right to do so.

Zidane's play through out the World Cup was out standing. The fact that he blew his cool in the Final, and received a red card does taint this, and there has been some talk that he may be stripped of the award by FIFA, but I feel this is unlikely to happen.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter has set up an investigation into the issue. Zidane says Materazzi insulted his family. Whatever happens, the headbutt in the final is a blackmark on Zidane's career.

First of all the vote was taken before the incident, the headbutt. Second he did lead France to the finals, making some key plays, he assisted Henry's goal and made the pk in the final, by the way that was one bs call! Third he probably only won cuz he is retiring from football, Cannavaro deserved it way more but the vote was really close 2,012 for Zidane and 1,977 for Cannavaro just a shame Cannavaro didn't win!
