I can't see how any one over 10 could sit there and watch two steirod heads near enough dance with each other and badly act out a fight!
Questions on this subject should not be in wrestling but in entertainment, there is a real sport called wrestling also!

This is a touchy subject. For one, the definition of 'real' comes into play. Are pro-wrestlers really athletes? I'd say yes, you'd say no, and around we could dance all night long.

Simply put, yes, often before a match, the winner is already known to the two men/women in the ring, and of course the referee. This does not mean they are not putting their bodies on the line, mistakes are made, and injuries do happen. Part of the enjoyment I get out of watching is to try and catch the missed moves, and the crowd reactions... which is why I was a big fan of the old ECW.

Are they really fighting? No. Does a real fight break out every now and then? Ask Arn Anderson about his backstage knife fight with Sid Vicious.

And to the person who answered with a statement that they all know how to fall, I leave you with the words of Roddy Piper:

"Heh? Sure, I know how to fall with out getting hurt... but not twenty times in one night!"

i believe that area of it truly is actual. professional Wrestling suits have a pre-determined winner, yet both between the wrestlers ought to do each and everything plausible to be sure that the selected result's composed of bypass (as an celebration, The Undertaker vs. Kane, Kane is meant to win, and he ought to make positive that he doesn't get too drained or too damage to win). there's a springboard under the ring that absorbs many of the soreness that the wrestlers journey even as they're knocked off their ft, in spite of the indisputable fact that it does no longer take up each and each and every of the soreness. professional Wrestlers are experienced athletes, which means that one and all those cool, dynamic strikes that they pull off for the cameras pick practise to finish, they don't purely magically ensue. sure, the wrestlers should be actors, because almost each and everything they say is scripted. The pre-determined winner and the scripted words are almost the only pretend issues about wrestling.

my brother used to be SO convinced that it was real! He always tried to tell me it was, I never believed it. I think in some aspects it is real, but in others it's not. If you watch some interviews with wrestlers, they tell you that it's basically fake. They don't hit eachother (how can you NOT tell?) and they basically do dance! My friends are so in love with wrestling, but I just don't get it. And when I came into this "wrestling" subject, I did think that it was going to talk about actual wrestling. Like high school or college or that kind of wrestling, not this fake crap!

Hopefully, nobody believes it. Still, it somehow manages to be incredibly popular.

Also, I'd say that the wrestling questions I see on here should be under "Entertainment," not "Sports." I know the guys are good athletes, but they use a script just like TV and movies do.

Not many people believe that nothing is scripted and that the punches are fake and stoping and other little moves are fake. Chairshots, Ladder jumps, Cage matches. TLC matches are just crazy, yeah the winner is picked the finish is chosen but things such as the actual moves are just beautiful. We know it's fake but the scenarios are usually good although a tad repetitive.

It's obviously staged. The guys are athletes, but everything is choreographed. The British wrestling in the 1970's and 80's were worse.

I think most people know it's not real, but with some of the questions asked here, you'd find that hard to believe.
