Three years is a ripe old age in betta years, so he is a senior citizen. Keep him warm and feed him well so he can enjoy his remaining few days.

a good thing to do to perk up your old beta,is to buy a small, about 1/2 gallon aqarium that has an airrater. We did this and now are beta is jumping for joy and acts like a teenager.marc

He is getting old. He is most likely dying. They usually live 2-5 yrs, maybe 6 with real good care. Sorry :(

That's pretty old, good job! When mine get lazy I do a water change, rearrange the plants, and give them a treat of bloodworms or brine shrimp. It seems to give them a "new outlook on life"! There are vitamins you can mix with food and it will help him live even longer!

Your fish is probably cold that's what happened to our fish then I put him on top of the warm stove and he started moving again.
