It depends on which mp3 player you're talking about. I've seen mp3 players that only hold like 100 songs...iPods can hold between 200-20,000 songs/pictures/videos. Plus, they have screens (besides the shuffle) that are easy to read, and are easily navigated. Although they're more expensive, they're worth their weight in gold.

An iPod is an MP3 player... and while it is the most well known, there are literally hundreds of brands, etc.
iPod makes a good product though, there is a reason they have the majority of the market share.

iPod is an mp3 player, it's just a brand (by Apple). No difference really, just a fad, people like big brand names they recognize.

i think Ipods are over rated. yea they are cool... but you can get a really good MP3 player that holds just as many songs for less.
