Sometimes the best approach is just to grit your teeth and go up to someone and start talking.....Join a club...find something you are interested in and go....go to a library...you would be surprised how many people strike up f/ships/ associations there...its no good going out on the lash...alcohol just fuels stupidity...and nightclubs are a no no due to the fact that most times you cant hear yourself think never mind converse....take a dog for a walk....talk to other dog owners..... Socialisation comes from you not someone else...if you dont want to socialize then it will come across in your mannerisms and people will pick up on that....be happy and confident in yourself and watch people flock to you....these attributes are infectious.

One way to meet others is to go regularly to a place where there are others like you. Go at the same time each time and look for people that you have seen there before. They will begin to recognize you too and the familiarity will make it easier to talk.

use what the first two people listed and keep this in mind.

the people that you will socialize with are not any better than you. Some will---some will not like the same things you do. We all make mistakes and we all have imperfections that is what makes us special individuals.

you have to get other people to like you to be social. in my experience the fastest way to do this is by complementing them and then asking them questions about themselves. people love to yammer on about how great they are. and if you show an intrest in what they are saying, it makes them feel good and then they want to hang out with you more.
