I dont understand what the blog is in yaho or myspace. what is it used for and how would i use it?

blog is an online journal.
You can write or post about whatever u like: updates of ur life, political opinions, a great trip, favorite recipes, what music you're listening to -- anything that strikes your fancy.

Blog is short for "web log." Basically, a blog is an online journal. You can write or post about whatever you like: updates of your life, political opinions, a great trip, favorite recipes, what music you're listening to -- anything that strikes your fancy.
Your blog can include words, photos, or both. Yahoo! 360° publishes and saves all your blog entries for easy access as time goes by. You decide how private or public to make your blog by setting your permission preferences.
Blogs are usually composed of one or more blog entries. Each entry can have its own title and always says the date and time you published it. Blogs show the last entry first, and you can scroll down to read earlier entries. So it's like a reverse diary.
You can easily add a photo to your blog entry if you want. You can also make bold text, change colors and backgrounds, format your text, or add emoticons and even web links. If you know HTML, you can make even more changes, if you want. But your blog will look great even if you don't use any of these extras

The blog is YOUR place to do creative writing - stories, life experiences, "whatever"!
Log onto the 360 page and go to the "home page". Click on "compose blog entry" (right below your name) and the screen will come up.
Under "entry title" is where you make up the name of your current blog. It's nice to come up with a catchy title, so that readers will be interested in viewing your blog!
Then go the the screen below and start composing your story! You can also click on the icons just above the screen to use different colors of type and add smileys. Using your arrow, just touch on each icon and it will tell you what all you can do!

Make it simple it is a person's diary posted on internet. It is a way for any person to express his/her thought, share experience.
Blog is interactive. People can post, other people can comment, going back & forth.
It is a form of social interacting.
You wirte something instead of talking to your friends face to face, what you like or you don't like, anything you think of.
