latoya, I hear what you say, but the bible was written by man and not God. All that seems to be a case of self fulfilling prophecy.

It's all about power. Religion is just an excuse to through people off. By the looks of these answers, it has worked well. The middle east has lots of small countries run by dictators. This means lots of conflict because each country wants to expand their territory. The borders have moved countless times so any country can lay claim to any other country's territory.

Also I don't agree that their women are ugly at all. I live in SE Michigan and they are not all covered up here. Very nice looking bunch of people.

There is constant conflict in the middle east due to sectarianism, tribal warfare and continuation of worshiping a paedophile after all why worship Mohammad when he married a 13 yr old and a 9 yr old, that would mess with anyone’s head!
As for there bible…it’s a joke over a 1000 yrs of barbarianism and referring to the western civilizations as infidels what does that tell you, they can’t even come to terms on Israel, what ever happened to reasoning and diplomacy?
Hot headed foolish nations that let themselves be treated like animals because there religion informs them that they must act like one to there fellow man if they wish to be greeted by a 100 virgins in heaven and as for the women, they are treated worse than a dog and regarded as sub human. Good grief…

Quite simply it's religion. Three of the major faiths in this world (Christianity, Islam and Judaism) see the Middle East as The Holy Land.

Unfortunately people are selfish and don't want to share. If everyone could agree to allow the others the right and facilities to worship things might be better.

Sadly, it goes back through the centuries... and to understand it, you need to understand their religious leanings. Then read the Bible (old testament) so you get a good geographical grasp of modern cities caught in conflict and their ancient names.

Then track forward to come into present day politics.

When we in the west tell each other to 'move on' we don't realise that other cultures can't... because they've been displaced!

the signs of the times. prophecy is being fulfilled, the bible says nations will rise against nations and tribes against tribes.
America wants to bring the nations together, that's why they put Saddam out of power, but the bible says, they'll never agree. think about it, READ THE BIBLE (revelations). there will be war war and more war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Western meddling and double standards. It is wrong for Saddam to try and take over Kuwait and the world acts, but it is OK for Israel to take over Palestinian Territories and leave them without a country - fix this issue and you will fix many things with it

The same reason there is constant conflict everywhere else in the world. Utopia, unfortunately, doesn't have a zip code.

it is a power conflict. Religion is the apparent reason, but the actualy reason is the interest / fear of the West in the region. By West, I am sure you can tell which countries I am referring to.

Because it's hot and sandy all the time and the women are so ugly in the main that they need to be wrapped from head to toe and then keep their faces covered too.

Think about it - you'd want to fight if you lived there too.
