Why, or why not?

I am South African but recently moved to Australia... I just know there is currently a lot of debates going around whether all the preparations will be finished in time - and what about the crime rates - will that effect people planning to go to SA to watch the World Cup...? I'll be going back in 2010 to watch it !

It'll all work out fine in the end. I live in Korea and as you might or might not have noticed...these guys are all about supporting their guys. I've made it my mission to educate and re-educate all Koreans on SA. So far I've gotten two churches to support AIDS victims in SA. They will also make up a party of 20 people (each church) to visit SA in 2010. I speak Korean and travel by subway and bus and taxi all the time. All I've heard from them is good news and plans to save enough in order to go there.

Now if we have the support of the Koreans, we South Africans will surely make a success of it. I guarantee that. These Koreans have lots to throw away and they're willing to throw it our way.

Most certainly yes. I am South African and can assure you that we will do our best to make it the most entertaining world cup ever. Fifa has already estimated a record profitibitlity for 2010.

We may not be the richest country in the world, but we are certainly full of colour diverse culture and sprirt.
Thats why we are called the rainbow nation!

many human beings look to ignore that South Africa has already held 2 extremely effective international cups already, efficient football is larger than rugby and cricket, yet I see no reason it wont be a strong achievement. Already stadiums are being outfitted and upgraded, shipping platforms better etc. Judging by employing South Africas contemporary tourism develop human beings dont look deterred too a lot.

if fifa doubted about the security in south africa they would have not let them be amongst the countries that were competing to host the world cup come 2010. so i believe africa will do better. so lets go South africa we dont care what people say esp europeans. im from kenya.

Well SA is, without doubt, the most developed nation in Africa, so I think they will do the continent proud in hosting this event.
