i have been wondering for that for the past years, and several times i almost got into an accident, but the driver was able to avoid it.. i don't know, but it really makes me wonder how it would feel like... sometimes to the point of yearning for it so much. my family and friends hate me for it.. i really can't understand myself sometimes.. am i the only one?

by the way, it's "i have been wondering about" not "for".

your curiosity about how it would feel is normal but the reality of being in an accident is not pretty. i was a passenger in a car when it was hit by a drunk driver who ran through a stop sign. i was sent through the windshield and spent 7 days in the hospital with a concussion. at the time of the accident i felt nothing, no pain nothing, it was as if everything was in slow motion and crystal clear until i hit the windshield and was knocked unconcious, when i awoke i was lying on the pavement with blood pouring from my head and a group of onlookers straining to see if i was dead....it was surreal seeing people so standing around while you're suffering and doing nothing but being entertained by your being hurt. i started to shiver uncontrollably although it was a hot summer day and had blurry vision, by this time the paramedics arrived and all i remember is looking down and watching the whole scene it was freaky then i heard one of the paramedics say they were 'losing me'. its strange to here someone prounounce your impending death, then it dawned on me i may not make it and i thought, 'lord i'm not ready to die' and then it really hit me...i had not felt anything until that moment but the pain came on instantly, my vision cleared and i felt as if someone had beat me half to death. when i got to the hospital i had a cerebral hematoma (bleeding inside the skull), broken tail bone, my hips were dislocated where they dash had been driven up into the car and my knees were knocked back. i had severe whiplash, several laceration on my hands, head and face. for the next 7 days i was in severe pain, all over. i really felt as if a mack truck had ridden over me several times but i got better over the next few weeks. although i do have residual back and neck pain from the accident i survived with no severe permanent problems. the drunk driver....fined and let go, he served no time, made no restitution all because one of the stop signs were knocked down and he said it was the counties fault that he didn't see it. bottom line its better to wonder what its like to be in an accident than to actually be in one....don't yearn for it cause it isn't fun. i am sure your family and friends don't hate your for it they probably just can't understand why you would want to go through something like that and put them through it. i was lucky but it could have been much, much worse. thank your lucky stars you haven't been in one.

Been in four accidents now and it's stressful. People get angry and blame you even if you arn't at fault! All my accidents were when I was sitting at lights and got hit from behind! And no, the lights were red, not green! I've also stopped & helped at accidents, minor and major. Stress, anger and dismay is all that you get out of an accident. You're lucky to avoid them.

maybe you should become an EMT, that's what I do , I see lots of accidents, and thankfully so far all of them have survived, but I am NOT looking forward to the day when someone dies.
