How does blogger.com earn?

Blogger.com gives free blogs to all. Then it gives so much space for messages, posts and archives. It doesnt even take a share when we try for an adsense code.
so just how does it make money to function, and support such a huge site(with millions of blogs)????

Blogger is owned by Google. They function because Google has money and you're probably making them money with this adsense service (I don't know exactly what it is but I know it's owned by Google).
