I disagree. The reason being if you watched the game up until Zidane got the red card. France controlled the game, the were on the attack the whole time. When Zidane got the red card look what happened. Had he not gotten the red card Italy would have lost that game. Why do you think he is apologizing and was the MVP of the tournament? DUH!

No way Australia who are not a very well known side should have beaten them had it not been for 2 bad desicions, the australians should have received a penalty for a hand ball just before the end but Italy got one for a dive??? They should take up diving at the olympics

I'm afraid I will have to disagree.
Football is about scoring goals, not keeping them out, so Italy can say they are best defensive side, but they can't say they are the best footballing side.

ITALY the TEAM and COUNTRY is he BEST!!!! We won the world cup and it now rests in Rome. Unfortunately there are too many haters becuase they are jealous that they aren't Italian!!!

Well, she asked it in a World Cup forum so no sh** that its about the Italian soccer team, and yes they are the best because they won the world cup fair and square. They beat those poor french bastards fair, and they want to cry about it. So yeah, they won so they are the best.
