Maybe about $30 but it depends where you are. Check if a place near you has a website or go in and ask. I have had mine for 10 years and have had no problems at all. I have my teeth cleaned regularly at the dentist and haven;t had any chipping. I do need to take it out and clean it to stop from getting plaque on the barbell. It hurt like crazy for the first week or so when my tongue was swollen and I couldn't eat ot talk properly but it was okay. Just take care of the piercing site and follow their directions to the letter.

7 years ago I paid $100 (can) for my tounge peircing. I have gone to the dentist and he didnt have much to say. He warned me about rings chipping teeth and eroding the enamel.
When the healing process is finished and you go to downsize your ring .. see about getting plastic balls, it will save alot of wear and tear on your teeth.

Some dentist may ask you to take it out. But I don't think it is in their way really. But I'm unsure on this. ALso, around my area it's only 20 dollars
