Having "personal identity" is realizing that you are a person different from the rest and understanding what makes you different. You will find that you are similar to certain people in some ways but you'll never find someone exactly like you.

also personal identity is based on your consciousness and not on your soul or your body

but then again with all the organisations in the world we dont really have a personal identity of our own unless you stand out from the crowd by being different from the rest

It means you being unique and different from another person. What are the things that identifies you.. Your character, your name, or nickname, pen name, your physical appearance, all about yourself. No other person got the same personality or identity same like you.

It is how you see yourself...be it your personality, your characteristics, your behaviour, your thoughts, your dress sense, down to the way you project and hold yourself.
It's how you identify with yourself, and how you perceive yourself to be an unique individual who exists in a society.
