I recently landed a new job, which I was really excited about. I was told in my prior overview of the job, that there would be supposed 'training classes' and I would be 'properly' shown how to do the job. Well on my first day, it just so happened that I was scheduled BY MYSELF and left to learn the job on my own. If that wasn't brutal enough, whenever I would make a mistake the other employees would get annoyed or laugh at me like i'm stupid. I'm just like, It's my first damn day people!!!

Has anyone ever been in a similar situation??????

I have been there. I was left to operate a computerized till by myself, you can imagine the mistakes I made! I decided after a few hours, that it was just too degrading. Any company that would leave you like that has no morals or values, and the company is headed for disaster. I guarantee it! The other employees treating you as though you are stupid also should tell you something about the company. They are just little minds working in their own little petty environment. How can this company ever be successful operating the way they do? I would move on immediately. I not only believe in, but I teach teamwork, support and creating a vision of success where everyone wins...that is how a company needs to operate if they plan to stay in business. Ethics go a long way!

Yes, I have. If you feel comfortable, you need to talk with the person that hired you and told you that you would have training. Maybe there is a valid reason that you did not have anyone to help you the first day. Was the person that is suppose to train you on vacation?

Who do you report to? Speak to that person and tell them that you want to do a good job, but you need help in learning the job. How your supervisor reacts will tell you a lot about your new workplace.

In the meantime, you may want to keep looking for a better opportunity.

Good luck!

Yes. Sometimes there are certain skills that you have to learn on your own because they can not be taught. If the other employees laugh at you, it might be because they already made the same mistakes that you are making right now.

I agree that the barn proprietor/manager is negligent in allowing all people in the sturdy even as the pony is in there. i do no longer recognize if the pony should be helped or no longer, you do not say of he has been gelded or continues to be total - if the latter then his dangly bits should be bumped off formerly he had breathed for twenty-four hours! A horse like this needs to flow to someone who's amazingly use to dealing with intense issues and they could provide no guarantees, fairly surely even as horses are like this that's usually a case of no longer dropping money on it because they seriously is not a horse for all people notwithstanding the very experienced and no man or woman ought to prefer to purchase it because of the techniques-set. He should be extra constructive off euthanised. You made countless blunders - the first going into the sturdy! LOL 2d became now to not have tide him up. 0.33 became to demonstrate your decrease back on him. satisfied you survived. a difficult thanks to study a lesson.
