When I work heavy construction, I wear Terra (Combat II) boots. They are very durable, steel toe, water resistant, puncture resistant and VERY comfortable.

It all depends on what type of work your husband does: During my research when I was new at the job and needed decent boots, a clear consensus among construction workers (here in Canada) I discovered that most workers prefer to use Terra boots since they are very practical and truly protect our feet - even in the most harsh working conditions.

This is why my decision lead to purchasing a tough and rugged pair of Terra boots and I never regret my investment. When this pair gets old, I will replace them with the same brand.

In my opinion, you get what you pay for. Cheap price usually leads to cheap quality and will blow out after a few weeks of general wear and tear. Terra boots usually range around $100.00 + but they are well worth the protection of any worker's feet, in this case, your husband. I am sure you will find the right pair for him.

There are a variety of Terra boots and shoes to choose from, in relation to the job that needs to get done. Just make sure they fit properly. As I said, they are well worth the investment.

Hope this helps!

Have to agree with the red wings. Look on line or maybe a uniform store. They have their own shops too so check your area that you live. They are expensive but very much worth it.

I like my Nautilus, but, like Redwing, they can run a little pricy.

They're the lightest, most comfortable I've had.
