It is no myth what the Japanese, did to the Chinese, is a horror story that can never be erase and the Japanese feel that they are far Superior to the Chinese and the Japanese are a very racist group of people. The Chinese do business with the Japanese in order to enhance their own people knowledge. and believe me it is a one way street for the Japanese only import food items and oil they very rarely import any thing else and they are very hard on and foreigner that tries to do business in Japan, and as for a Chinese, person finding work in Japan other then as a maid or house hold help forget it. now as for you marrying a Japanese male who know everything could work out well. as long as race never becomes an issue. I wish you well in all of your endeavors. And may you find peace.

Its a big over generalization. There is still some very bad feeling over World War Two, there is no doubt Japanese soldiers treated the Chinese horribly, it was a sad page of human history. But with over 60 years of peace, memories of those sad days are fading and people are seeing advantages in cooperating rather than fighting. So you may find some anti-Japanese feeling, unfortunately, but it is fading. I hope you find a really neat guy!

There have been terrible wars between the Chinese and the Japanese , since the beginning of time.

so inherently ,they do not like or trust one another .

They both have a very fine culture,

I hope you will be happy with your Japanese Prince ,one day .

Mostly in the past but sometimes this gets passed down to the kids. I teach in China. The other day we were doing 'I am' I am tall, I am short etc and one kid of about 13 said I am not Japanese. It seemed like a joke for them but it could be taken in different ways, I'm not sure exactly what he meant by it.

There are historical and political and cultural reasons why the two countries, and hence perhaps the people don't get along. But, get to know the individuals. I know of two couples...husbands Japanese and wives Chinese...no problem.

I think it really depends on the person...I am part japanese but I have a penpal from China and we get along just fine. If someone is still mad about the past it might be a problem but that is them.

Just like us Americans!!!!

I'm black so I don't know really but I know from experience that different ethinicities don't like to be called the other especially when they've been to war with each other.

Take Dominicans don't want to be called Puerto Ricans. Italians don't want to be called White. Puerto Ricans don't want to be called Mexicans.

So it's probably true.

The older generations tend not to get a long, but nowadays I don't think it is an issue. Here in America I don't think it is a problem at all.
