here's the deal. america is moving down while china is moving up. we're already over due for a world war to sort out the major powers. for america, the longer they wait, the worse it's gonna be taking out china.
threatening north korea, invading lebanon. bush is really pushing it now.
the chinese are playing cool. all they have to do is let america screw around in iraq a few more years and they'll be all out of gas for a war with china. US needs to force this war now while america still has an advantage over china, and get as many allies on his side as possible. particularly japan, who he's been trying to scare into re-arming by ignoring the korea situation to the point they have a nuke.

China is moving up because we are building them up. Where was your computer made? How much crap made in China do you buy? You'd be surprised. Most that complain about China are the biggest supporter and don't even know it. You want china to stop growing, then stop buying their products. You think your little $4 item doesn't make a difference, well times that by 300 million people. Impressive numbers right?
So no, American as always is not looking to go to war. We never ask for them, but we don't run from them either.

seems as though you've asked if the US is trying to start a war, and then gone on about how they're not but should - you've answered your own question. but points for the ideas - the US is really working to its own detriment in terms of whiling away its time in iraq when it's clearly not wanted there (even by its own people)
