You make the mistake of assuming gravity to be made up of particles of force like photons of light (gravitons aside). Gravity is nothing more than a distortion in the fabric of space-time. It is a geometric distortion. There is nothing "escaping"

gravity is a four dimensional "sinkhole" in three dimensionl space. imagine setting a bowling ball and a and a baseball on diiferent points of a bed. The bowling ball is going to make the mattress collapse more than the baseball. Gravity is the same thing only all matter is pressing down space itself in a four dimensional way rather tha three dimensional. Gravity is not energy, but light "is" (light is weird lets leave it at that). For energy and matter imagine you have a glass of water (energy) and a marble (asteroid). if you pour water or roll the marble by the baseball, not much will happen, the water will pool slightly by the base ball before going on, and the marble may move closer to the baseball before moving on. If you do the same experiment with the bowling ball, the water is all going to pool by the bowling ball, and the marble will probably stay with the bowling ball. the baseball represents the "weak" gravity of a planet (we would be like round dust particles) and the bowling ball would be like a black hole. Once again you have to apply this three dim. representation to a four dim. universe.

Gravity does not travel at the speed of light. Gravity is a distortion of space caused by the presence of matter.

Gravity cannot be caught by a black hole, because there is no physical medim. Gravity is simple warps and ripples in the fabric of space-time.

Gravity is the bending of the surrounding space caused by a body, so a black hole being infinitely massive causes an infinite bending into it, not out of it!

Gravity is an attraction between 2 objects ( or more). It is not physical, no mass nothing. There is no velocity. It doesn't travel like light or any other physical object.
