loosen brake bleeder small bolt thing with a hole in it 10 mm use 2 screw drivers pry brake pads into caliper 1 screw driver for inside 1 outside you can use a large c clamp if you got one do not remove brake line remove 2 slider bolts if it has them it may Have rubber slide things you need to punch those out swap pads and reassemble if you mess up use the other side as a diagram on how to put back together
o ya tighten bleeder just after compressing caliper ad brake fluid and pump brake pedal 4 times when done before driving

if you need laymans' terms you probably shouldn't be doing it yourself - brakes are fairly important and if you do something wrong it can be very dangerous. i'd suggest taking the car to a professional mechanic or garage to get the brake pads replaced

You can't do the job safely because you don't have any jack stands and a breaker bar to loosen the caliper bolts with.
