Honestly, a lot of people say they don't believe in a female president and they have no plausible reason. They say "Oh, she has PMS." First off, I feel sorry for the female that lets horomones control her.

In history there have been many female rulers in almost all countries except the U.S., excluding Hawaii. Last time I checked, when the females did reign she didn't blow the world up on a bad "PMS day" or with her "radical emotions." So, why can't she run? Women are not controlled by their emotions and PMS. I'm tired of hearing that...

i imagine all of this concentration on race and gender is completely ridiculous! the authentic question isn't with gender or race... it may well be with the topic matters accessible - who can better run the rustic? That stated, i imagine Obama has an area. Hillary is coming in the time of as a snippy canines, attempting to attack Obama for any and all causes (now and again with out reason!). Who quite needs that in a president? Does this propose Hillary will be that snippy even as she's president? if so, we are going to be at warfare each and every 27 days!

In theory woman can run for president. In practice American society pro-male oriented. Ask anybody on the streets:
Who has to be head of the house?
Majority will answer - Man.
Even though much more women work nowadays than 60 years ago. Today women have more rights and freedom to choose then 50 years. There are more women with college degree then men. Look at the Congress. How Many women are there? We will talk about woman President when at least 50% of Congress will be represented by women.

This is a retarded question. I've been in the U.S. Navy for 9 years and the answer is because the President of the United States is also the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces. HE IS A MEMBER OF THE ARMED FORCES. The President can't lead the armed forces into battle if the President HERSELF is not even required to sign up for the draft. Women have a vagina and are not required by law to die for their country. Men will not take orders to die in battle from a vagina.

I do not hate women. I myself have a Wife and Daughter who I love very much and I know women can be great, but this is the simple truth. If you want a female to be the Commander In Chief of the most powerful Armed Forces in the history of mankind you're going to have to put into it what the hundreds of millions of men throughout history have. Their lives.

Women can run for president. A woman can win an election for president. The road for women in politics is still being paved. The TV series "Commander-in-Chief" is one of the vehicles that bring many people to the mindset that it is possible and can be a good thing. Women have already broken the "glass ceiling" in business. The CEO's for many fortune 500 companies are women. Kraft is an example. I believe the odds are in favor of a female president in your lifetime.

A woman can run for president. All she has to do is convince the powers that be that she can win and they will support her. Have you noticed lately that all presidential candidates are plain vanilla people? Its as if someone did a poll and produced a sketch of what a president should be, there is really almost no difference in candidates anymore and I think this is due to what the political parties deem electable

The reason why a woman can't run for a president is because unintentionally...the man will be brought down. Or that's what they feel.

It's hard to accept one thing.. especially if it hasnt' been done before. I mean the african americans had to fight many many many years in order to get the "freedom" they deserved

The homosexuals are still fighting for marriage rights.

Now just imagine if a homosexual or someone of color ran for president.. Who would vote for them? Remember.. the country votes, but the electoral college is the one who choses.

Three reasons we need a female president:

Hilary was president while Bill was in office. Sure, he sat in the oval office, but she did all the work.

Male presidents have started wars and caused the deaths of millions of Americans since the 1700's.

George Bush is male.

because women spend too much time judging other women by how they look. And they don't trust other women. I have a question for you. How can women be the majority in America but they can seem to vote on a woman president? What happened in South Africa after apartheid when they allowed blacks to vote, they have had a black president ever since. Why blacks are the majority and they had been mistreated just like women in this country.

It's because there are a lot of men out there who still feel that they should be the dominate member of the species. The thought of a woman president scares them too much.

Yet, there are lots of other countries with female presidents/prime ministers/chancellors past and current. Too bad the US isn't so open minded about it.

A woman could most definately run. It will be interesting to see. I think too much time would be spent on judging her looks instead of her ability to do the job. A woman with enough guts to take on that challenge would be one of very strong character tho so she probably wouldn't care what people thought of her looks plus she would be stable enough to handle her emotions. No emotional train wrecks would run for president, no one would support them!
