There is a group of 8 of us and we need somewhere that is ok with hen parties as we will all be dressed up so it'll be pretty obvious. We would like a not too dancy, cheese fest ala the ritzy kind of vibe ... any ideas for clubs or pubs?

Incidentally by dance I mean hardcore, techno, rave or house, what we're looking for is actually dancing i.e. cheesy disco - just something with words and a tune as opposed to just a continous beat. I'd hardly be looking for a nightclub if we were just going to sit and chat

Loads of hen parties at the Walkabout, and its big enough not to make tooo much of a spectacle of yourselves.
The Beach is a guaranteed good night, with the option of a couple of different rooms / music, not sure on their Rowdy-Hen-Night Policies tho.

Brighton? Appreciate your thoughts Peacock B, but London, imho, for fun, "groups trailing around town" events, such as a hen night, is just too big, expensive and disjointed. The money and effort would go much further in other towns. Agree with looking in TimeOut for ideas... but really think, for an interesting night or weekend out... somewhere like Brighton is built for it. And definitely agree on the food and night out being in different places... you will really struggle to find decent food in a nightclub.

Try some clubs first to see if you're lot are going to be comfortable..I go by music 60-90's I would say all night clubs have dancy music..otherwise for me will be a bore. There is no fun sitting around yaking all dressed up in Hen party gear; you might as well do it in your living room. Go on try having a change, I gurantee all the 8 will enjoy it.. after all its HEN night you want something wild not granny's gossip!!I assure you , young men around will pep up the jokes. Just let your hair down+enjoy. No harm in looking/talking as long as you don't TOUCH!
