This is a matter of personal preference. Some women, especially many who are very large breasted, find it very uncomfortable to sleep without a bra. Others simply develop a habit and then naturally become less comfy without than with even for sleep. The key issue for slumber is truly about comfort. The practice in and of itself is not harmful or dangerous.

It is not healthy to go to bed in tight clothes... it is not healthy to wear tight clothes at all. It cuts your circulation. Bras especially are a nuisance. I wear a 36D and boy, I wish I didn't have to. I take it off the moment I get home. I wish someone would come up with an alternative to bra for big breasted women.

I'm a guy but I did read somewhere that women who regularly wear a bra to sleep are more likley to develop breast cancer. My wife thinks i made it up but I did not. I can't remember where i read it or what the increase in likelihood was but i do remember being aware that it was from a legitimate source, like a medical journal, etc.

No it's not. It would be needed for those women that need the extra support. If they don't they usually end up with neck and back pain. It's not worth the pain if you can avoid it by simply wearing a bra.

Tight clothes are not worn during night. Only loose clothes are to be worn to facilitate free blood flow.
