Save everything you want to keep on a disk. Then format your hard drive. Then reinstall everything you want.

Ok, if you want to clean out your computer, follow these steps:

Go to Control Panel in the Start Menu (if you're on a Windows) and select Add/Remove Programs. Delete everything you don't need. Be careful, though. You don't want to delete any essential programs to the computer.

If you want to clean it of viruses and spyware, do the following:

Delete your Temporary Internet Files
Remove all unwanted programs (as noted above)
Download Stinger, AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy and run them in that order in Safe Mode.

Your computer should be running better now.

If you're planning to erase everything on your computer in order to sell it, don't. It won't work. You can't erase everything from your hard drive. If people got ahold of your erased hard drive, they could access your deleted information. If you're selling your computer, you must remove (and destroy if you're not going to use it anymore) your hard drive.

If you just want to remove the applications that you don't want, then the first thing I said is all you need.

Hope I helped. Good luck! :)

.... oh, by the way... just deleting the icon or the .exe file won't delete the program. You need to do the Add/Remove hardware strategy I mentioned in order to effectively rid the computer of the program.

Go to the control panel, click on to the add or remove programs section, and when the list comes up, you can start deleting what you want. On your menu bar, click on to favorites, and you can also delete the stuff you want there. After that, you can go to my documents, and start deleting things there.

Go to my computer, control panel, add/remove programs and start there. Be careful. Programs may share .dll files. Then go through your folders and delete the documents you don't want. Then go back to Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance, and Clean Up, then Defragment.
