I am a curry fanatic but my wife has not adapted to the asian tastes, so prefer to look for something safer, more westernised etc. With good quality and good service.

In view of complete safeguards from the frowns of your wife, you should straight away walk into any 5 star hotel's coffee shops / restaurants for food. Your Westernized McDonald, subway and KFC and Pizza Hut are also present in Delhi in good numbers to serve you.

But you will miss the taste, flavours and variety of Indian food, besides varieties in curry itself, if you don't try local food. Yes, when in India and you get a chance to taste Indian stuff, try non-curry Indian dishes - a lot in variety, who knows you may become non-curry fanatic also!

Have a nice time.

You might want to stick to the 5 star resturants if you want good western food.

Park Royal in Nehru Place is one of my favourites. Try their coffee shop
