Because there are many beautiful temples here - both Muslim and Hindu. One of the beautiful ones is Tippu Sultan's Temple in Mysore. There are many, many others.

to be precise Thrippunithura is called the land of temples it is a satellite town south-east of Ernakulam Kochi City of Kerala state in south India. The famous Sree Poornathrayesa temple is one of them. The town is also a center of learning for classical arts like Carnatic Music, dance and percussion instruments like the Mridangam and the local Chenda. One of the three Ayurveda colleges in Kerala is located in the town.

India is known as land of temples coz people here are great believer of GOD ,and worship HIM. The people here from very past had made temples ,therefore one can see here types of temples with different scuplture , made in different time and also the different way of worshipping.

People also beleive in many GODS like LORD RAM ,LORD KRISHNA , SHRI GANESHA, BRAHMA , SHIVJI and many more.
You can find nice temple at any corner of the India.

Likewise BADRINATH ,KEDARNATH, JAMMU , AYODHYA ,THIRUPATI BALAJI, MATHURA are common piligrim places.,

thats cause India has many places of worship of many different religions. India doesnt have many temples, but whatever place of worsgip it has is all of different religions

at the time of kings-- we indians used to have enough money.. as every king used to be bill gtes.. in thiwer own context..
so temples are used to show thier repsect to the gods..
as there are thousandds of gods..in India
