Being a supermodel takes a lot of work. It's not just saying I want to be some model, but I want to be one of the highest paid models in the world. Most supermodels are simply plucked from obscurity when some scout sees something "special" in them. Most go through many rejections before they hit stardom, such as Tyra Banks. And believe me, thes models are made not born. Ever seen Naomi Campbell without makeout..there ya go. They are taught how to walk, pose, strut, and literally become a walking fashion embodiment. It does help to have a kind of beauty the fashion world is interested in, such as the Kate Moss waif look, or the Adriana Lima (Victoria Secret) brazilian sex-kitten look. Right now the hottest models who are going to the big time are imports from Brazil and little-known countries in Europe(think Giselle) and Africa(think Liya Kebede) But I believe if their is a will, their is definately a way. Starting off, get an agent, create a portfolio, shop it around and get your name out there. Be serious about being a model and get your foot in the door. It's all hardwork, determination, and luck from there. :)

You have the height, but you will need the experience. The way that the supermodels are walking down the runway is much different then it use to be, which was a simple walk.
You can practice walking with a book on top of your head, and watch Tyra Banks on tv daily, to catch the newest, walks, clothes, the way that makeup is being worn.
You can do anything that you put your mind to, just get out there and do it, don't let anything get in your way. It is never easy in such a competitive career, but if you are a strong women, who can deal with much criticism, then you can do it.
The world of modelling is no piece of cake, there is lot's of jealousy and animosity among your co-workers, you must be on gaurd at all times, any type of job in the entertainment industry can be a challenge.

Uh, the time of your birth has nothing to do with it. And your name has nothing to do with it either. Either your pretty enough or your not. Try out for it and let them be the judge of it.
