i got a few people from nigeria telling me that they are from US and they wanted to meet me in person, but they ask me for money. are they real or scammer. but why do they keep asking me for money?

Most of those who send those emails are scammers.In Nigeria its called 419.So be very careful with them.In fact avoid them.Why do they keep asking?Simple,they want to make money without working for it.I doubt poverty is the main reason,its Greed.They are poor people in other African countries and across the world but there don't engage in this activity.

Most likely scammer - Nigeria has become known in many circles as the scamming capital of the world. Reason why asking for money - why do you think they do? Because they're poor.

They're scammers. They do it on the internet constantly. They ask people for money because enough people give it to them that they make a pretty good living at it. They also pose as women and men on "personals" and then start asking for money. They make a lot off of lonely people. They're scum.

Wait I minute not all Nigerians ask for money. Have you gotten an email from me? I understand what you mean stay way from those stupid emails the scam artists are trying to scam you. Just do not look at junk mail anymore that's what I do.
