Mutant human beings are being born all the time. It is the fundamental of natural selection. Just look at some of the seven foot tall basketball players, midgets, and people with deformities. They are all technically mutants and their mutations are usually liked to some genetic or chromosomal mishap. The theory of natural selection was based on mutation, those mutations that made the animal more attractive to the opposite sex or more able to survive in its environment, were able to mate and those mutations were passed on. If women for example were to only like guys that were taller than 6'5" then after several hundred years of this selective breeding, the general population would be much taller than it is presently. Therefore this would be encouraging that mutation to become dominant in our global gene pool. I hope that answers your question. And if you were looking for something out of X-Men, then no its not possible yet, even though people that take steroids are stronger than normal people of the same size..........however they will usually become sterile, so even if their strangth became attractive, they wouldn't be able to mate and spread their seed anyways!

Sure, a mutation is just a chromosomal or genetic defect. I guess if you mess around with the embryo it could happen on purpose, but for ethical reasons it won't be done.
