Paul Pierce is a double-edged sword in the sense that he might not be the franchise player the Celtics really want to build their team around, yet trading him will get you very little in return. I highly doubt the Celtics are looking to trade Pierce especially after they traded Randy Foye on draft night and made some peculiarly unnecessary trades with a bunch of teams to get a handful of unproven role players. They're definitely keeping Pierce.

no, because they are on the talks of giving him a contract extension of about 3 years, and the rumor was it's already a done deal. logically you don't give a player contract extension just to trade him, not even an iverson trade could put "the truth" in the trading bloc. so we will be seeing paul pierce in a celtics uniform for quite sometime.

No, the Celtics will not be trading Paul Pierce. His contract would make it impossible for the Celtics to get anything near approximate value for him. He's a very good (though flawed) player who will not be going anywhere soon.

I dont think they will! He has been so great for them, even though they havent done much with him. That all has to do with supporting cast, i think they will start to build around him in the future hopefully soon cause i have been a fan of paul pierce since his days at kansas!! If they do trade for him it will be a huge trade where they get someone like garnett, big time players like that! They cant trade straight up for him but it could happen

They might but it wouldn't be vey smart on their parts cause if the Celtics have any expectations of trading for Allen Iverson, then they SHOULD keep Paul Pierce there. They should get rid of someone smaller, they might lose more people but it will help them in the playoffs in the long run.

Since he resigned through 2011 today, I do not think so.
Miami Heat is completely wrong, since the Celtics said they will trade any combo of player other than Pierce for Iverson.

They are ready to trade everyone but PAul Pierce to any team if they get something good. They're r probably gonna trade delonte West,1st rnd pick and another player to get Allen "THe answer" Iverson.

Never. They will continue to waste their time trying to trade for Allen Iverson.
Plus they just signed him to a 3 year contract extension

i read there is going to be a trade with phili for iverson, but because iverson contract is too big for the deal to go through there is going to be a 3 way trade similar to that of shawn kemp a few years ago.
