After cleaning it, dry it well. Put some baby oil on a paper towel, and coat the surface with it - it brings stainless steel to a great shine. It also stops stuff sticking to it, so it's easier to clean in future.

That is a major problem with stainless steel.

What I normally do is I dip the tip of a sponge in undiluted vinegar for the last mop and I clean it up with a Dry soft cloth. That prevents very prominent water streaks form forming.

I've had good luck with baking soda and steel or copper wool on my stainless cookware. Wear gloves when you do this, as it's going to be rough on your skin.

You might also try using non-stick spray on your stainless steel before cooking. If I put some Pam on my stainless steel frying pan, then cleaning it is much easier after a long time making pancakes.

If you are worried about streaks on the outside of your cooker, you can do one of two things, use vinegar as a final rinse (wipe) or use common glass cleaner. Both will get rid of the streaks but vinegar smells.

Again the same answer..

Use Coca Cola.

I am not joking.

There was a program on Discovery channel about "100 Uses of Coca Cola".

You can search the net if you think I am kidding.
This will surely work. Just give a try.
