Lots of answers have suggested that the differences in the eyes is the same as other differences. I dont think this is necessarily the case. In Europe we have many different facial features. I was talking about a general trend in this particular ethnic peoples. I did not realise that the eyes were more sucken into the skull and this makes a lot of sense so thanks to the sensible people!

It's a genetic adaption to climatic conditions. They have lost the epicanthic fold, which makes their eyes LOOK slanted.
The conditions their ancestors met when first entering that part of the world were:
A lot more wind. A lot more sun glare. And a colder climate which made for a lot more blowing snow grit. All of these resulted over time in those whose folds were minimal living longer (because the blind didn't make it) and passing along this mutation until it became general in the population.
Loss of the epicanthic fold prevents dust and grit from building up around the eye, thus aiding in the prevention of diseases of the eye. The loss also helps the eye to shade out sun glare from the ground.

It's called genetics my dear. but if you look at it scientifically, it probably has explanations. Our genes mutated according to the environment, for e.g Western people in cold countries have long sharp narrow nose, cos' the air that passes through that can than be made warmer, as compared to if he had big nostrils, that would send cold air straight to the lungs. How bouut chinese people's small eyes? Could it be due to the fact that they were straining from the sun too much? It' slike, the African americans are black also due to environmental influences, right?

everyones eyeball shape is basically the same, its the way it is set in the socket. asians eyes are set further into the socket making them LOOK like they are "shaped different"
Look beyond the physical and see the inner person instead, you will find beauty in every race.
