I don't know where the matches to the ones that become the odd socks go...that's the #1 unsolved mystery in homes all around the world but I trash them or use them for rags.

You know what I found out where mine go....into some of my other clothes!!! On several occasions when I go to put on a shirt or some pants I will find a sock inside the sleeve or pant leg, they just fall in there and get stuck!!! So that is the first place I would check!

the odd socks dont go anywhere! 1 of the pair goes and this LEAVES the odd sock (if you're looking at in practically!)

The washer eats them! yet, it may't digest them so in case you're taking it aside, you'll stumble on a wad of socks, hair, and different nasty looking stuff blended mutually. We offered a one in all those notably the front loader sorts on pedestals, and after about 6 months, there became water all around the floor. My hubby got here across a drain plug which because it seems, ought to be drained each and every 3-4 months!!! makes no experience. besides, there they were, all waded up mutually, socks of all sizes.

I don't know, but I use the odd socks as a dust rag. Works really well.

In my son's wardrobe, under his bed, behind his sofa, his cat takes them in the garden... ever since he left home.

I know because I still do his washing and now (he's colour blind) they're all odd ones!

I'm a sock folder into pairs and NEVER lost one yet through six children, two husbands and myself... it's a generation thing... you'll get there:-)
