more & more celebrities are creating their own brand of perfume. Is it a hot trend or is it just plain business strategy? == OR ==
are they simply looking for yet another way to make more money?let me know your own views on this stuff... thanks :)

what's funny to me is most of their "new" perfumes smell like the cheap, drug store ones that came out years ago... like Exclamation and Love's Baby Soft. there's so many that smell like those these days it's ridiculous - but they slap someone's hollywood name on it and sell it for 5x what it's worth.

Personally I think it's a business strategy. like for example Tommy Hilfiger paid some million for beyonce to just be on the box of the perfume because she is the it girl. jlo well she had a clothes line out, glasses, shoes, so makes since to have a jlo perfume. Britney Spears I dunno what to say about that she wanted to target a different type of audience besides young teens. So it's a little bit of everything money, business, to get more records to sell

Well, I do like Britney Spears perfume, believe me it smells really good. I didn't think I would like it because I am not a big fan of her music.

One conclusion: all of them dont smell very good.
They are just selling the celebrities' name. Dont think the celebrity themselves would use those perfume.
My favourite fragrances : Channel CoCo mademoiselle and Marcissco Rodrigues For her.

I like Curious, and hilary duff is coming out with her own perfume too. supposly even better than britney spears's perfumes.

it is very controversial, ok here it is I like JLo but i hate her perfume, but i like Spears' perfume although i dont really like her singing. so it is kinda funny

I think they just use their name to make money, and over-charge for it.
