I'm working on a piece of modern art entitled 'The Humane Dinner Party' (a bit like that dirty old slapper Tracy Emin) I've already made some attractive menu holders out of all my toe jam, some napkin rings from gluing together old toe and finger nails and some coasters made of hair.

Ear wax has a purpose, just yesterday my brother told me he opened his garage door and something fell across his face, then it crawled into his ear, he has been in the jungles of Borneo and Malaysia on active service yet, even he was scared.

He could feel it moving inside his ear and was getting his car out to drive to outpatients when, an creature almost like, but not quite the same, as long as, an earwig, crawled out of his ear and dropped down his shirt... needless to say, he stamped on it, fast!

The reason that the insect crawled back out, is because ear wax is toxic to insects and protects the ear this way!

As for candles... yuck... do you really seep that much from the ears... better go and see a doctor, sure it's not your brain?

Ear wax isn't really made of wax at all, so the answer is a small "no". Ear wax is composed of oils, to be sure but also contains alcohols, dead skin cells, dirt, bacteria, a surprising amount of water and various other non-candle like materials.
Sorry, ever thought of going to Asda's and buying some proper ones?

As i'm truly particular it melts, that is going to. And scented candles have oil in them that when it burns it provides a scent. i'm not particular if the oils in ear wax will positioned out a scent. try burning some?

You might make one (a really skinny one after years of 'collection' but it won't burn. Normal candles are made with parrafin wax. (The wax itself is just a way to solidify the parrafin fuel.) It would be possible to make a 'working' candle from body fat as that is at least combustible, however, it would have to be more of a tea light (I can't think of a way to solidify it). Since that would involve self-mutilation, dont.
In short, give up your foul little pastime and check back into the clinic.

Your "The Humane Dinner Party" sounds horrendous! Haha... but that's beside the point.
Yes, I think you can make candles out of ear wax, that is if you can get that much... And even if you do, don't forget the string for the fire to light. If you do make it, I think it'll be very very... goey?

I would suggest not as ear wax does not contain tallow, which is what burns in a conventional candle

XDD Hee, that sounds fun!

Hmm, I suppose that technically, ear wax being wax, it should be possible.. You might need a lot of ear wax, though, but hey, good luck :D
