You must contact Yahoo and know your secret question and answer. You must have an alternate e-mail address. Your name, address, password, and many things in your account may have been changed so Yahoo won't know it is you unless you can prove that you are the original owner of that account. Yahoo will give you a new temporary password when you have answered all their questions properly. If someone has stolen your account, get a temporary fraud alert from the credit bureau and then file a police report. Send a copy of that and the first page of your phone bill to one of the credit bureaus and you can get a seven year fraud alert. You will be the winner. This is what I received when I lost my e-mail account. Send an e-mail to account-security-help@cc.yahoo... ... Good Luck!
Hello,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Account Security.
In order for us to proceed, please reply to this email and provide us
with your desired new alternate email address. Please note that this
cannot be a Yahoo! Mail address.
Your primary alternate email address is the one Yahoo! uses to
communicate with you regarding your account, such as notifying you of a
password change or sending a new password to you if you request one by
email. (Your alternate email address must be verified in order to take
advantage of this feature.)
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.
Regards,
Arthur

Legally No one can help you.
It is YOUR responsibility to remember your password.
This is also an illegal question, It is against Federal law to solicit information for the purpose of acquiring a password. (even your own, because we have know way of knowing if it is really yours) Giving out this information over the net, and not in person is also a violation of the Law.
But your question might be an honest mistake so it was not reported.

Adios, amigo.
In the future, use a secure password. One with upper case, lower case, special characters, numbers. For example, p)O9I*u7
Now, you might think that is hard to remember. Well, it isn't. It is actually a keyboard pattern. Look at each symbol and it's corresponding position on the keyboard. It is easy to remember and very secure.

If you lost your password, how did you get here to ask this question? I think you are a liar! You are trying to gain information to access an account that does not belong to you! Shame! Shame!
