this has happened to me before. I COULD say, "talk it out", or, "he's not your real friend if he's like that" but advice like that is crap. I understand he's your friend, read:

Make some time just to hang out w/ him. But don't stop hanging out with your other friends. He'll have to accept that he's not your only friend, although he may be your best friend.

As for your lovelife, does the guy have a girlfriend? If not, try and introduce him to some people... but don't push it. Love takes time.

And, for being jealous (i kno this is corny...) compliment him on something that you are absolutely horrible at. Like, you couldn't do to save your life.

Best of luck! Hope your friendship stays strong,

Is he gay? Are you gay? No offense but are either of the two of you?? Jealousy isn't usually a trait of a best friend. Maybe he thinks more of you.

you're bestfriend's a male, right?
Men, why is he so possessive of you,,?
he's not gay, is he?
anyways.. maybe he's just jealous and don't welcome the change that you have new companions besides him..
try to talk things out and maybe he'll get a better view on your side...
