Jumeirah has the most accurate answer, though I'm pretty sure that bumulusok means (past tense) moved at a very high speed. We usually use it for either speeding as in driving or dropping/falling (as in airplane). Don't know that you can use it for anything that doesn't involved a vehicle (ie. people running)
Tagalog has a lot of homonyms also, it can also mean rushing into something (ie. made a rash decision).

I'll just give you examples wherein Tagalog people uses these words in phrases .....
bumubulusok ------- Tagalog refer to it as the crashing of a plane or something big,...... down the ground.
hintuturo ------- finger used for pointing ( this,that )
kulilat ( kulelat ) ----- the least among the group / crowd
hambog ---------- boastful guy
kumpol ----- bunch ( bunch of flowers / kumpol ng bulaklak )
kisame ----- roof
