They have a pretty bloody history. A lot of people in the world come from former colonies / territories or former enemies. Old habits die hard.
But I have no special problem with the British. I have a lot of British friends.

Enslaving "Black People" was not limited to the British... I'm sure a lot of American people had slaves back in the day as well as a lot of other nations, so to relate Slavery to the UK is hypocritical to say the least... Also to think that slaves were just "Black" shows ignorance on the subject.
To hate the British based on Historical events and the fact the British "Occupied" America is also hypocritical... I wont go in to why, I really don't think that needs any explaination.

People hate us for a variety of reasons, all of which fall down under closer examination. It's hard to validate hating an entire nation... But people do try.
I would say the reason people "Hate the British" is down to ignorance and/or upbringing.

Because a lot of people are jealous about what other people have, etc.
A lot of people immigrate to the UK (Legally and Illegally) just like they do to other countries across Europe and in North America (the United States and Canada).
I love living in England, to be honest, much more laid back and everyone is friendly for the most part.

i don't know other people just don't realize what kind of life we have we have to work harder then every other country and only get poor wages most british have no choice but to live in tiny homes mean while americans get massive homes and some don't even work alot and i think other people are just jelous that we have a gr8 nation so it gives them an excuse to bomb us

Generalizing hate/love is a form of racism. And almost everybody has a streak of racism in him unless you are a business man looking to sell something to them.
