ok here's the thing. I'm going to play bball with my friends at their gym at their university. My university is a rival school nearby. I have a school jersey and I was thinking about wearing it when I play with them. Should I wear it?

try to get the rival school jersey and wear it and then tell your friends to either get the jerseys too or don't wear your schools jersey. and tell them that you don't want to get beaten up. if they disagree, then don't go. nobody needs to get beaten.

Yes, do it. Well, actually, better only do it if you're any good. Are you good? If so, go for it. It will be more fun when you're beating them that way. But if you're just going to get trounced all night, no sense in sticking out.
