i want to be an actress?

Question

i found a part in a play looking for some one that is for the play bye bye birdie. but i need to tell and ask my momma...how should i do that?

also i have acted most of my life except the past 1-2 years

im only 13 and i would have to have her drive me there

i also almost starred in a movie for my school that they were doing as one of the lead actresses and then the director had to move to cali8...his dad was dying...but he is ok now

Are you just trying out for it? if so:
Tell her this is something you really want to do, that you think you'll be very good at it, and you're just going to try out... let fate take it's course. Then show her that you're serious about it, study, even if she opposes it I will bet you lots that if you ask her to read the other person's part while you're trying to learn your lines, she'll get excited for you. Also ask her for advice about it; about the dancing, the singing. Even if she's all wrong it accomplishes a couple things. It's something you can do together and it makes her feel like a part of your life. This is actually one of times where it can be a win-win situation.

There is more to acting than intuition and self confidence. You should try to have some training no matter how elementary and as well talk to some experienced people in the inductry. The issue of parental consent will naturally be sorted out.

no need to ask your momma, just go ahead and be part of the play. if she finds out, well she can't do anything cause ur're in the play and the play needs you.
