Our school colors were purple and gold but that wasn't worst part of it! The worst part of it (at least for the boys) was that our mascot was a chicken! And no matter how many times they tried to revamp the costume with really huge muscles, at the end of the day it did not matter! It was still a darn chicken!! By the way, we were called the Chickasha (that was the city I lived in then) Fighting Chicks. I mean come on!!!!! I am so glad we had the sickest football team around then but, of course, they had to be tough, right? That is like naming your little boy Christina!!!!!!!!! Even if you shorten it people are still gonna know and laugh!! But I guess we did not fare to bad those years, we turned out two boys that still to this day play for the NFL!! One plays for the Washington Redskins and the other plays for the Dallas Cowboys, I think!!!
