They are mostly written in C, C++, Assembly Language, Pascal, Delphi. Why? Because they were stand-alone, meaning doesn't need any other file to run (like Visual Basic)...

Are written some in C, other in Visual Basic(like trojans), but most often in C, compiled in a Linux Machine.

I've found that most of the time, it's korean. But the viruses aren't in the text. They're in the hidden attached file that auto-saves to your computer and spreads the second the email is opened.

it depends on what the virus is created to do. if it attacks the video components then you are looking at something different than say a virus that is meant to destroy the BIOS. thats DOS. get the book below and it will tell you it all.
