VB 6.0 is the version of the VB flatform and VB.net(programming language) is a programmimg that we could do on this platform.
There are other programmimg language that we can debug and run on the same VB 6.0 platform like Winforms C#, Winforms with J# etc..

VB .Net is far advanced version that VB-6, but i will tell you, if you are familiar with VB 6 then the syntax are more or less same in vb.net, where as the flow and procedure does differ.

personally I love programming in vb6 so charming, where as vb.net is advanced, but rough one.

vb is a event driven . where as vb .net have strong oops support
