iv recently downloaded dc plus plus on my computer it said it was a music downloading site but it turns out its not its just a software site and now it has charged me 30 pounds from my bank wot can i do can i cancell the transaction before it comes out of my account or am i screwed.

DC ++ IS FREE, you've been ripped off by internet scammers who modify file sharing programs and charge people for using them. Also, you CAN download music and videos on DC++ you have to connect to hubs first before you can search the files. Ring your bank and cancel the direct debit then download the legal free version. Also, there are plenty of other free filesharing programs, shareaza, kazaa, emule, limewire etc.... I recommend emule, it's a bit slow if not many people are sharing the file but you can download it free at www.emule-project.net Please be more careful in future file sharing IS FREE. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS WHO CHARGE YOU FOR THIS. One final thing, there is an alternate to p2p file sharing, and if you don't mind paying it works out at about £7 a month for 20GB usage, its called USENEXT www.usenext.com you have to pay 9 months in advance but its what i use and its worth every penny, you can get all the latest music albums, latest films and games, ITS BRILL.

You should be able to stop any payments via their website if they are a reputable company, if not report them to trading standards..
Have u tried Napster or MSN. Try EMusic if your not worried about mainstream pop!! A lot of unknowns and up & comers!!

That'll teach you not to check if there is a payment to be paid before you download anything. If in doubt DON'T DOWNLOAD unless you know it is free.
