For an update on casinos in Monterrey, Mexico, see below.

There is MUCH information on the internet on Monterrey and its activities. I have listed one site below to get you started. It is a large industrial northern Mexican city and so you will find all of the activities one would expect in such a city.

there are some casinos, yet they don't look like those in las vegas. they only have machines, yet no longer poker video games or some thing like that. monterrey if finished of discos contained in the zone called BARRIO ANTIGUO. it has astounding eating places and also you should do trekking or different outdoors activities, such maTACAnES,cola de caballo, grutas de garcia. it truly is specially an business city,in spite of the indisputable fact that it has the perfect college in latinamerica,it truly is ITESM Campus Monterrey. also, there is acolonial city at 4 hours from mty called zacatecas. for a week holiday you may pick purely on your prices ( no which incorporates motel) like 60-80 earnings step with day.

Honestly, you should not go to Monterrey. I am 26 and have traveled there for business to visit manufacturing locations. Though the city is clean and safe and they have great shopping (more of a girl interest?), architecture and a beautiful mountain- there is not much there for two young college guys to get up too.

When I went the average breakfast was 12USD(at the hotel buffet), lunch about the same and dinner was around 28USD(adv. restaurant with 2 drinks and an entree). I did not find the prices much diff rent than one would spend in a nice US city.

mmmm. im wondering why monterrey? my family is from there and yeah its nice. but im thinking spend some more money and go to guadalajara or the coast. but nope no casinos and yeah the best clubs are in the barrio antiguo (where you should stay too) and the best shopping is strung along cardenas at valle oriente and plaza san agustin. take a cab about $4 or bus (i think route 103 from juarez and padre mier in el centro). oh and check out the oaxacan restaurant in the barrio antiguo also. mmmm. dona tota gortitas too scattered around the city. ok enough rambling.

As far as i know there are no casinos in Mexico.

Regarding money, i think a decent hotel will be around 600 pesos per night (about 55 dlls), and i think u will need for food, shopping malls, etc around 500 pesos per day (around 45 dlls), so 100 dlls per day will be enough, maybe u will spend less.
