A CCNA is like a high school diploma in the Cisco world. An MCSE doesn't really mean that you know what you are doing. Experience is the best choice. Once you have enough exigence neither matter very much.

If your question was which course to do MCSE or CCNA ?

then the answer would be do MCSE first which would give you a good knowledge about networking concepts after which you could prefer to do a high level course on CCNA

If your question was which has better job opportunities MCSE or CCNA?

Then the answer is both are equally good. However when you have done CCNA your level of working can be more towards servers installation & maintenence, Whereas with MCSE it could be just local LAN administrator or could be working in a client server environment.

If your question was which is great MCSE or CCNA ?

Then the answer is it depends on your interests. However you have to understand that each course has technology difference.

If your intention was to ask a question be clear in what you want. Put your questions precisely as that would fetch you more number of answers or suggestions

Good Luck :-)

Both.

If it is employment you are looking for, multiple certifications provide for a more rounded candidate. An individual with an MCSE tells me he knows system administration, a CCNA tells me he understands networking and networking hardware. The two of these are a good combo.

if u want to choose between both, then i must say, if u dont have LAN knowledge then u can not be a good WAN expert, LAN is prerequisit for working on WAN, & Microsoft's MCSE is best for getting knowledge on LAN & specially it is really good in Server understanding...
