it is a messenger service like that of yahoo and you can chat on line with friends etc in conversation boxes that pop up at the bottom of the screen it's good because you can work and talk at the same time. i have it. If to go to the msn page it has a step by step process on how to install it an get it up and running. if you go ahead with it send me an email and i will chat with you on there if you don't know anyone else with it

MSN messenger is a so called IM service (instant messages) In contrast to email IM delivers your text (whatever you choose to type) straight away.

Lately these services also include voice transfer (phone) and video conference (video phone)

it's a instant messaging program, like aim or aol or trillian... or even yahoo has their own... to sign on, you obviously enter your email and password then you can see who is online. if there isn't anyone online, there is no poiçt in being signed on at that moment. if there is, you can double clisk on their name and talk with them in real time!! you probable know all this... also if there is a little clock next to there photo, that means they are absent, if the is a litle stop sign, tha t mleans they are busy... if you need more help you can go on the website www.msn.com and clisk on the link that says messenger... don't you think this is a good answer? (hint hint-- the best?)
