Immanuel Kant (East, Prussian, lived between 1724 - 1804), right? He was a philosopher, not really a "scientist" as the term is used today.

He is noted for: Categorical Imperative, Transcendental Idealism, Synthetic a priori, Noumenon, Sapere aude. Google some of it.
