Can you suggest a api, which should do similar to browser's file+saveas. I have a webpage, i want to give alink which should give the user a downloadable HTML page including images and other objects. the user should be able to use it independently. My web page is PHP

This is an automation work where the user just clicks a button, our api should do something similar to file+saveas and save the files at user prefered location.

This has really confused me - so I'm going to try and clarify, if only for myself. You want to have a web page, and on that page a link. That link will open another web page, which the user can use independantly? Already this is beginning to make no sense, and I still haven't worked out why you need an API - everything you have mentioned requires nothing more than HTML, not even PHP!
